About

How it works

Edinburgh Comedy Tonight lists every regular stand-up comedy show in Edinburgh, every night of the year, with the start time, the price and where to book. It is free and independent: not owned by any venue, promoter, ticket seller or festival.

How a show gets on the page

Every row is read from the venue's or promoter's own listing and carries the date it was checked. If a time or price cannot be confirmed, the row says see venue or check with venue instead of guessing. Sold-out and selling-fast labels come from the venue, never from a ticket site's badge. Line-ups appear only when the act or venue publishes them. Nothing is copied from resellers or review sites.

Booking

Every button goes to the venue's own box office or the ticket seller it uses. This site does not sell tickets or take a cut. Links carry a referral tag so venues can see what this page sends them.

On your phone

Add it to your home screen and it opens like an app, keeps working with no signal in a cellar, and always opens on tonight. On iPhone: Share, then Add to Home Screen.

Who

Built in Edinburgh by David William Bryan, a working comic. Corrections and new nights: list your night.

Not the Fringe

This is the other eleven months. Walk times are from St Giles' on the Royal Mile.
